We are studying movement after neurotrauma and
would like your help.
BACK
We know you have probably been asked to participate in research before, but we hope you will agree to help again! This project requires about 3 hours of your time and the results will help us understand how the neural control of movement is changed after trauma to the nervous system.
Who can help? Anyone who has had a stroke or spinal cord injury and who has the ability to move their arms or legs.
What? Walk on a slowly moving treadmill or cycle your arms while we electrically stimulate nerves to record reflexes in your muscles.
Where? Motor Control Research Laboratory, School of Physical Education, University of Victoria.
How much time? One or more visits taking about 3 hours each.
When? We are working right now! Contact us for more information!
