Listservs - getting started

Exercise

1. Register with the class listserve by sending the instructor your e-mail address and name, exactly like this:

sandyock@uvic.ca sandy ockenden

I will register you for the class listserv. Once you have received an e-mail message saying that you have been registered, send a message using the class listserv. Address the message to: edb363-l@uvvm.uvic.ca

2. Visit this CLN page and register for one of the educational listservs there. Remember, when you register:

• Do not write anything in the subject line of the e-mail
• Do no use a signature. If you have one of these, turn it off.

Once successfully registered, send me an e-mail message (sandyock@uvic.ca) confirming that you have registered for an listserv. Include the name of the listserv.
