many link and drop down menus that would be distracting
to the very young students using this site. It has great
information and links to weather around the world. An
excellent asset to enhance learning about weather.

provides a lesson on weather maps. The students access an
Internet weather map and gather data on current weather
conditions. There are links to pages such as this
classroom
activity page which will further enhance the learning
of the students through labratory experiments about air
masses, pressure, precipitation along fronts, common
weather symbols, tornadoes. Again, this site is for
teachers, and older students. A great site.

no other source more important to Canadians than this
one. Students and teachers are given up to date weather
reports, pictures and predictions for weather systems
across Canada.

listserv is set up to provide dialogue between schools
and students about different weather systems and weather
related information. An excellent way to keep kids in
touch with different parts of the world and how the
weather is different.

- Weathernet is an excellent all round
resource. It provides immediate links to the latest radar
images. Mainly for the US, but there is a Canadian site
just starting up.

is a great place for kids to email a real weatherman, and
to learn about the basics of what makes the
weather.
