FRANCE

The goal of this site is to provide a list of resources on France for teachers. The sites selected have been done so with the B.C. social studies learning outcomes in mind. Parents, students, and others interested in learning about France may also find the links helpful.

According to the B.C. IRP "the overarching goal of social studies is to develop thoughtful, responsible, and active citizens who are able to acquire the requisite information to consider multiple perspectives and to make reasoned judgments." It is important to provide students with opportunities to "critically reflect upon events and issues in order to examine the present, make connections with the past, and consider the future"(B.C. IRP).
