Media Awareness
To participate and make
informed decisions in today's world, a global citizen requires
technological and information literacy skills that include the
ability to gather, process, and manipulate data. The goal of this web
site is to provide a list of resources to teachers and parents on
media. The sites are a good source of information for topics such as
censorship, TV, advertisements, and music.
The links that follow contain information,
statistics, reports, surveys, and more.
- Children
Now: This site
contains information on sex, kids, and the TV family hour. This
report was conducted by Children Now. It comments on TV content,
findings, methodology, and looks to the future.

the V-Chip (FAQ), an annotated list of reports that
Children Now has done, and a free video (that can be
viewed on-line or ordered) on the TV rating
system.
