Interactive Online Projects:
Technology is a growing force in todays society.
Literacy is important and essential to participate in modern society.
Technology education helps young people prepare to live and work in
this changing world. The goal of this page is to provide teachers
with resources so that they can help develop students that are
technologicaly literate. This will allow them to work effectively in
todays society. The links on this page provide interactive online
projects that teachers can use in their classroom.

- Authors
Online: This
site allows students to interview famous authors and illustrators
online. There is a fee to participate, but there is a free 3 month
trial offer.
- InterPals: This site allows students pick
pen pals from around the world. They are able to choose the
country, gender, and age. The students would then correspond
through e-mail.
- Sky
Watchers: This
site allows students to view real time movies, view satellite
pictures, read weather reports submitted by students from across
the world, and allows students to submit their own weather
reports. It is geared towards students in grades 2-8.
- One
Sky, Many Voices: This site is designed to enrich the k-12 weather
curriculum using CD Rom's and the internet. It provides online
programs that run for 4 or 8 weeks.
- We
ather
Station: The
goal of this online project is to get schools to track the weather
in their area for 1 week every couple of months. This site also
offers links to other online projects that schools can participate
in.
- Intercultural
E-Mail Classroom Connections:
This site helps teachers and classes meet
other classes in different countries around the world for e-mail
classroom pen pal and project exchanges.
- The
Grassroots Program: The site provides
interactive projects online for teachers to participate in with
their class. Teachers can submit their project, participate in a
project, and more.
