Free Educational Software for Teachers and Students

This page will provide teachers and students with internet links to free educational software that is available on the web.  Software such as games, fonts, quizzes, etc. will be provides along with software available for creating your own web pages.  This material will give the teachers and students the change to explore new ideas in the class room, and create a fun working environment.  It will also provide teachers with some free educational products, such as media learning books that will be very usefull for teaching.  These sites allow the teacher and students to work together as a team to create a fun class web page, that everyone can be part of and use.

 
Media learning products

Dositey Educational Site -This site provides free educational software on the internet that is helpfull of learning.  It provides development of reading, math and science skills, that will help kids grade K - 7 inprove on their learning.  It also has free interactive workbooks and mini lessons that you can download.

Bridge to learning- This is another site that provides software to assist in children's learning of reading.  It also provides a free cut and fold villiage that children will have fun putting together.  This site is not only fun for kids but also helps them to learn at the same time. This site provides activities that the students and teachers can do together.

Math Tutor- This is a good educational site, that provides free material for helping children learn, and have fun while they are doing it.  Teachers could set up this free math quiz on the class computer and allow children one at a time to try the quiz.

Teacher site- This is a good site for teachers as it provides many free educational tools, and ideas for the classrooms.  Things such as books, teacher guides, and fun tools, such as stencils, etc.
 
 

 
Fonts, Graphics, etc.
  Graphics Forum- This site provides free graphics, including backgrounds,buttons, icons, clipart, objects, cells, betas, and software.  This site is ideal for teachers and students who are interested in creating their own web pages.  Or they can be used to create a class web page

Cascoly Software- This site gives free screensavers and clip art that would be useful and creative for the class room computer.  This page also has many links to other products that would be interesting, such as puzzles and games.  This sites also provides activities that children can play with on the computer when they are finished their work early.

Spittin' image Software- This site is provided from the makers of Colorcube, an education product used to explain the principles of digital color.  Some of the colorcubes are for sale, but this site also features a teaching kit and free screen savers.  This site is also good for a class web page, or setting up a computer in the classroom.

Free Graphics- In this site, you will find free graphics, buttons, clipart and much more.  These fun graphics will provide your class web page with colourful, fun art.  The children will be able to choose the graphics that the like for the web page.
