Teacher Page

As designers and as education majors, we have decided to create a section on this site that will help teachers to use this site as a resource in their classroom when teaching a unit on endangered species or just talking about animals in general. We have created this site for a grade two to five audience and teachers should find the writing and information appropriate for that age group.
Below are a number of links that you as a teacher might find useful so feel free to check them out:
- Goals of this Site
- IRP Learning Outcomes
- Links to Teacher Resources
- Lesson Plans from AskEric Database
- Endangered Species and Multimedia- This lesson encourages the selection and study by students of one particular species of interest to them and allows them to use multimedia elements to do research.
- Our Environment- This lesson is based on categorizing waste around all of us and looking at the environmental impact that everyone has and what people can do to help the environment.
- Animal Survival- This lesson is a hands-on look at the factors that cause an animal to either flourish or perish in nature. A fun activity that gets students actively involved.
