Welcome to our website! If your child is studying Light in school, or he/she is interested in doing hands-on experiements then this is one website you might want to spend some time exploring. The activities were chosen with Grade 5 students and the British Columbia Science curriculum in mind. Many of the activities could easily be used by children as young as 6 years, or right up through high school (and perhaps, even including you!). As a parent of a young learner you can assist your child with the activities, reading the instructions and/or interpretting the learning. Explore one particular topic, or explore them all. I hope you enjoy investigating the properties and characteristics of light!
The activities include learning on the following topics:
| The Spectrum of Light | The Nature of Light | The Behaviour of Light |
| Reflection | Refraction | Lenses and Light |
| Why Do We See Colour? | How the Eye Sees | Optical Illusions |
