The School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education's mission is  to advance knowledge and to prepare professionals in the area of physical activity and health through teaching, research and service.   We offer academic programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of Recreation & Health Education, Kinesiology, Coaching Studies, and Physical Education pedagogy.  For detailed information about these programs, please visit the School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education web site. The School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education is home to exciting academic and scholarly endeavors in a wide variety of areas and is home to a Canada Research Chair in Health and Society and two Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Scholars.  You are invited to browse our faculty research area page: http://www.educ.uvic.ca/phed/faculty.html. The School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education is located in the McKinnon building which houses  our classrooms, Anatomy and Physiology laboratories, most of our faculty offices and some of our research areas.  Our  Rehabilitation Neuroscience and Behavioural Medicine labs are located in the MacLaurin building.
