Through the Faculty of Education's Development Office, in coordination with the Central Development Office, we work in close partnership with individuals, foundations, organizations, and corporations to secure funding that supports faculty projects and initiatives. Through this support the Faculty’s mission is furthered.
“Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness.”

Priority Fundraising Projects
The Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (formerly called The First Nations Teacher Education Program):
This program encompasses a plan to recruit and maintain Aboriginal students within the Faculty of Education. There is a critical need for their representation at the post secondary level, as well as in the teaching profession. This fund will assist in addressing the urgency to recognize the contributions of these founding nations, as they are individually some of the richest and most diverse in the world.
The Millennium Future's Fund:
This fund provides support for scholarships, bursaries, and emergency funds for Faculty of Education students.
Learning Commons Fund:
This fund will advance access to instructional support and educational resources, both physically and virtually. The Commons encompasses facilities such as the Curriculum Library and the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Understanding Science (CETUS). Faculty of Education students, faculty, staff, off-campus teaching professionals, and individuals from other professions will benefit from this facility. Funds for programs, technology, and multidisciplinary projects will help UVic respond quickly to needs as voiced by practicing professionals and other members of the educational community.
