Academic Advising

The Faculty of Education Advising Centre offers academic advice to current and future students who have specific questions about Faculty of Education courses and programs. Our academic advisers will answer your questions about elementary and secondary teacher education programs, the kinesiology program and the recreation and health education program.

Office Hours and Location

The advising centre, located in room A250 of the MacLaurin Building, is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 - 4:30 PM (excluding statutory holidays). Click here to find out where the MacLaurin Building is located on campus.

Advisers Schedule

You may meet with an adviser in person, speak with an adviser on the telephone, or contact us by email. If you have questions about one of our programs, be sure to read about that program before speaking with the adviser. Learn more about what we offer.

Appointments

Advisers meet with students by appointment on Monday afternoon and Friday morning. Call the Advising Centre at (250) 721-7877 to schedule an appointment.

Drop-in

Advisers are available to meet with students on a drop-in basis on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please arrive no later than 11:00 in the morning and no later than 3:00 in the afternoon. If you are an out-of-town student, please call the Advising Centre before leaving home to confirm that someone will be available to speak to you during our normal drop-in sessions.

Unable to visit the advising centre in person? Advisers are available to take telephone calls and answer email. You may telephone (250) 721-7877 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to speak with an adviser. Note that it is not always possible to respond to an email on the day it is received. Please allow up to five working days for a reply.
