Community-based Masters Program

Our community-based masters programs offer a way for you to enhance your teaching career in a supportive environment with colleagues with similar interests and diverse backgrounds.

We currently offer community-based masters degree programs in Counseling, Curriculum Studies, Early Childhood Education, and Leadership Studies. These programs are two years long and are normally delivered in local communities during the winter and spring sessions, with one summer session spent at the university. In some counseling programs, you may complete course work over three consecutive summers at UVic, and two winter terms in your home community. There is a quota of 18 spaces for these programs, which are delivered both face-to-face, and over the Internet. More
