Previous Inserting an Image

Next

Insert an image on your webpage.  On the sample webpage, the Comp-in-Ed image was inserted.  In the Internet I module, you learned how to find and save images off of the Internet.  If you need to refresh your memory, please return to that module.  Remember that there are copyright issues involved, so you must either take images with author permission or else download them from free image websites.  Once you have an image file to insert,

You may link an image from a file, in which case you must upload the image file along with your HTML files when you put them on the web server.  Otherwise, if the image is on the Web, then you can simply link to it from its location.  If you wish to insert the Comp-in-Ed image, either save it to your computer (into the same folder as your HTML files) and choose "From File" to link to it.   Otherwise, if you wish to insert the image from its current online location, choose "From Location" and enter the URL: http://www.educ.uvic.ca/compined/images/lefttopnav.jpg.   Click OK when ready.
