Getting Started on Your Project

The integration of computers into the curriculum is a very hot topic in education right now - in both K-12 and post-secondary education. There is an abundance of literature on how the goal of integration is to be achieved. There are many barriers to overcome, including lack of hardware/software, technical support, lack of teachers' computer skills, lack of time for professional development, and more.

Now that you have developed some computer skills, you will be asked to apply these skills in a way that is meaningful to you or do some further research on the topic. The next section will provide some options that are available to you, but you are not limited to this list. If you would like to suggest another project option, please contact compined@uvic.ca with your proposal.
