3-D and Shadows
For your assignment, you are asked to draw 3-D objects and use shadows. Insert
these objects at the bottom of your "XXXdraw.doc" file.
Creating a 3-D Object
For your assignment, draw a rectangle in your XXXdraw.doc file. To create a 3-D
effect,
- Click on the rectangle to select it
- Click on the 3-D button on the Drawing toolbar. This button will look like:

- A pop-up menu similar to the following will appear:

- Click on the 3-D option of your choice to apply the special effect to your rectangle.
- Next, repeat the above steps to return to this window and select "3-D
Settings..." to get the following window:

- From left to right, these options are:
- 3-D On/Off
- Tilt Down
- Tilt Up
- Tilt Left
- Tilt Right
- Depth
- Direction
- Lighting
- Surface
- 3-D Colour (drop-down menu)
- Change the 3-D colour of your object to a colour of your choice (other than the default
setting). Change any of the other settings to your preference.
Using Shadows
For your assignment, draw a rectangle in your XXXdraw.doc file. To create a
shadow effect,
- Click on the rectangle to select it
- Click on the "Shadow" button on the Drawing toolbar. The button will
look like the following:

- A pop-up menu similar to the following will appear:

- Click on the shadow option of your choice to apply the shadow to your rectangle.
- Next, repeat the above steps to return to this window and select "Shadow
Settings..." to get the following window:

- From left to right, these options are:
- Shadow On/Off
- Nudge Shadow Up
- Nudge Shadow Down
- Nudge Shadow Left
- Nudge Shadow Right
- Shadow Colour (drop-down menu)
- Change the shadow colour of your object to a colour of your choice (other than the
default setting).
When complete, save your changes, then continue to the next lesson on WordArt.
