Rotating Objects

For your assignment, you are asked to draw two objects then rotate them. To do this,

Open your "XXXdraw.doc" word document. You will add this object at the bottom of the document.
Click on the "Rectangle" button on the Drawing toolbar. This button will look like:
Click and drag across your document to create a rectangle. Create two rectangles. Note: if you ever want to create a perfect square, hold the "Shift" button down on your keyboard while you click and drag. Since you are creating rectangles, if want to make one larger or smaller but retain the same proportions, hold the "Shift" button down while you drag one of its handles.
There are two ways to rotate these rectangles.
- Free Rotate:
  You will use the Free Rotate feature to rotate the first square or rectangle you created. To do this, click the "Free Rotate" button on the Drawing toolbar. It will look like:
  The handles on the rectangle will change from small white square to small green circles as shown below:
  
  Click on one of the green handles and drag it to rotate the object.
- Rotate via the Draw menu
  Please use the draw menu to rotate the second box. Go to the "Draw" drop-down menu (or drop-up in this case), which can be found on the Drawing toolbar. Select "Rotate or Flip" then choose to rotate either left, right, horizontal, or vertical.
