Setting permissions for your "www" folder
To set the permission for your "www" folder so the public can view your
webpages:
- Double-click on your Netlink ID folder to open it.
- You will be storing your HTML files and images within the "www" folder.
- Find and select the "www" folder by clicking on it once.
- Set permissions for the "www" folder as follows:
- Right-click to get the pop-up command window shown above
- Select "chmod(UNIX)"
- Set permissions for your "www" folder as follows:
- Owner (i.e., you): Read, Write, Execute
- Group/Everyone (i.e., the people who visit your site): Execute
- You need to set the permissions for your "www" folder only once.
- You will have to set these same permissions for any folders (not files) stored within
your "www" folder.
- Click OK.
