The Information and Communications Technology Curriculum Cycle Report
just released in November 2001, is available at the following URL:
http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/irp/reports/ictreport.pdf
"The Ministry of Education K-12 Provincial Curriculum Cycle requires the regular review of provincial curriculum to ensure that it continues to be both current and relevant. The Information Technology curriculum is in phases 1 and 2 of the Curriculum Cycle. The focus of these two phases is the review of the 8-12 Information Technology IRPs for the purpose of determining what action, if any, should be undertaken in terms of IRP revision. This document contains the results of that review and the recommendations regarding the future of the Information and Communications Technology curriculum. Phase 3 involves producing the revised curriculum leading to the last phase of implementing the revised IRP."

Information Technology Resource Document
http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/irp/resdocs/itk7.pdf

"This document is available only as a resource for teachers and is not an IRP. Neither is it listed on the Education Program Guide Order. It is still expected that students will gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes described in this document but it is expected that the teaching and learning will be integrated across all other subject areas. Information and communications technology is a tool to support and enhance student learning. The learning outcomes described in this document should be
incorporated into all of the learning students are engaged in. The K-7 Information Technology resource document can also serve to assist schools and districts with requirements for school and district technology plans."
