Is this program for me?
If you would like to influence the future of education in your school, district or province, and you are interested in learning more about informed and effective leadership in the 21st century, the Certificate in School Management and Leadership Program may be for you.
Designed for teachers and district consultants and coordinators, as
well as vice-principals and beginning principals, the program requires that you meet minimum admission requirements for Graduate Studies, which are:
- a Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent from another
country) from an accredited and recognized institution
- a grade point average of 5.0 (B) in the work of the
last two years (30 units) leading to the Baccalaureate degree
Please note: We do not use practica, non-graded
(pass/fail) courses, credit granted on the basis of life or work
experience, or credit earned at institutions not recognized by the
University will not be used in determining an applicant’s grade point
average or units completed. Any course used in the calculation of the
entering grade point average cannot be used as credit toward a graduate
degree program.
You must also have:
- a teaching certificate valid in BC
The Department of Graduate Studies initially reviews applications to the CSML program. Applicants who meet the entrance criteria described above and are approved for admission by graduate studies will then be admitted to the CSML program on a first come, first served basis until all seats are filled.
Extended Application Deadline: June 30, 2008. Please contact Karen Erwin for details.
