Field Experience Office

The Field Experience Office arranges all field experiences/practica for elementary, middle years and secondary student teachers. The field experience staff will answer your questions about school and alternative field placements.

Student teachers will have an opportunity to do field experiences in both schools and alternative field placements. Depending on the program you are enrolled in, the number of field experiences you are required to do and the length of these experiences vary.

While on practicum, each student teacher will be assigned a mentor teacher(s) and a supervisor who will assist with both the mentorship and evaluation of the practica

Office Hours and Location

The Field Experience Offices, located on the second floor of the MacLaurin Building, are open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (excluding statutory holidays). Click here to find out where the MacLaurin Building is located on campus.

Elementary Teacher Education
