Dr. Max Uhlemann

I am the area adviser of the Counselling Section and teach a variety of graduate courses in counselling. In addition, My current research interests are: Competency based counsellor education and training and paraprofessional training; Counselling process research, counsellor schema and clinical assessment, and positive illusions of counsellors; Stress, trauma, and post-traumatic stress; Gender issues in the counselling relationship; ethics education and moral development in counselling and teaching.


I work primarily with those who wish to be counsellors in the community and in schools and graduate students. In addition to my teaching duties, I am the Graduate Advisor for counselling psychology. The 2002 Counselling Graduate Students' Page is devoted to supplying information about current events, such as meeting times and other events for students in the counselling program. It is up-dated on a continual basis.
