The Abacus

To perform addition on the abacus, you have to record the numbers on the beads in the same left to right sequence they are normally written in. As long as the user places the digits correctly (don't forget to carry when necessary!) the answer will be presented on the abacus once both numbers have been "added" to it.

There are four approaches to performing additions (or subtractions), each applied to particular situations.
