Catalyst 2008: BC Science Teachers' Association

25 - 26 April 2008

The BCScTA Catalyst conference is a forum held every two years in which science teachers can exchange ideas on research, teaching strategies, curriculum development, and other shared interests. Pacific CRYSTAL researchers and Seaquaria in Schools coordinators traveled to Kelowna, BC this year to bring their findings and discussions to a BC-wide audience.

Pacific CRYSTAL Abstract

Nationally funded, the Pacific CRYSTAL* Project promotes science and technology literacy through partnerships fostering meaningful connections between community and university educators. The CRYSTAL team and workshop participants will partake in hands-on activities and discussions about general guiding principles for enriching science learning in the classroom through diverse informal learning contexts and engaging science experiences.
