BA Recreation & Health Education - Cooperative Education

Suggested Upper Level Electives

7.5 units of upper level electives offered outside the Faculty of Education are required for your RHED degree completion.  They must be approved by the School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education RHED Program Coordinator and the Faculty of Education Advising Officers prior to registration. 

Note: By special permission, 1.5 of these units may be taken within the School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education (see details below).


Courses listed below, have been pre-approved as upper level electives by the RHED Program Coordinator and the Faculty of Education Advisors, however, many of the courses offered in these Departments and Schools have specific pre-requisites, minimum grade status, or need special permission obtained from Chairs, Directors or Instructors before registration can be completed.  Please refer to the calendar and your registration guide to determine your eligibility.


Other courses not listed may be approved after discussion with the RHED Coordinator.

Exercise Science, Physical  & Health Education - Any 300 or 400 level EPHE course  (provided you have the appropriate prerequisites).

Political Science - POLI 456


Psychology – PSYCH 331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336, 338, 339, 340, 350, 450.
