New University of Victoria Students
1. Complete an "Application for Admission" to the University of Victoria.
This form is available from the Admission Services website: http://web.uvic.ca/adms
It is to be completed and sent to the Admissions Office, University Centre,
by the deadline: January 31.
2. Admissions will evaluate the students' applications and
then notify Physical Education of the students who are eligible
to be considered. That is, those students who have completed or
have in progress the Faculty of Education and Physical Education
pre-requisites described in the Calendar. This step usually takes
place in February if all the documentation (including in-progress
transcripts) has been submitted by the January 31 deadline.
3. Physical Education will send eligible BEd PE Teacher Preparation,
BA Recreation and Health Education Co-op and BSc Kinesiology
Cooperative Education applicants a Physical Education "paper
interview" form to be completed and returned by April 30. NOTE:
the non-Co-op Kinesiology Major applicants do not require an interview.
4. Physical Education will also send eligible applicants a
sheet explaining "How Decisions Are Made." That is, how their g.p.a., interview and other information will be used to determine who is accepted and, when and how they will be notified of the outcome of their applications.
5. Physical Education will process the students' application
information and notify Admissions who is recommended for acceptance
and who is not. This cannot be done until after the final transcripts
are received. Although the documentation deadline is May 31, the
earlier Admissions receives the final transcripts, the faster
the applications can be processed.
6. In June, Admissions will
authorize the acceptable students to register in their new programs.
The School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education will separately notify applicants of
the outcome of their applications.

Returning University of Victoria
students
1. Apply for "Authorization to
Re-register." You may download, print and complete an "Application
to the School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education" or come in person to the
School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education and pick up a form after November 1st. This
should be completed and sent to the Records Services Office, University
Centre, by the deadline: January 31.
2. Records will evaluate the students'

3. Physical Education will post a list in early March of eligible applicants.
The eligible BEd Physical Education, BA

Co-op
and BSc Kinesiology Cooperative Education applicants will be asked to sign
up for an interview (see notice board opposite the PE Office) which will be
held on campus in late March. When eligible applicants sign up for their interview
time they will be required to complete an "Interview Confirmation Essay"
(forms will be available on notice board opposite the PE Office).
4. Physical Education faculty will interview the eligible BEd Sec. PE,
BA RHED, and BSc KINE Co-op (NOTE: the non-Co-op Kinesiology Major
applicants do not require an interview) applicants in late March and give them
a sheet explaining "How Decisions are Made" (which is
also posted on the PE bulletin board). That is, how their g.p.a., interview
and other information will be used to determine who is accepted and, when and
how they will be notified of the outcome of their applications.
5. Physical Education will process the students' application information in
early June and notify Records who is recommended for acceptance and who is not.
This cannot be done until after the final grades for the Winter session are
received for both re-registering students and new admits to UVIC.
6. Approximately, mid-June, the acceptable students will be authorized to register
in their new programs (check on-line: note the program and Faculty line for
the Winter Session). The School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education will separately notify
applicants of the outcome of their application.
